"If there was anyone I would trust to deliver a biblically sound and engaging message, it would be Jennifer Hicks. I worked with Jennifer as a nonprofit leader, attended her Bible studies, and have seen her speak publicly multiple times. Her work ethic and biblical knowledge are beyond compare. I've never seen anyone pour into their studies the way Jennifer does. Her warm, relatable teaching style is why she not only draws people in, but keeps them wanting more."

Talk Topics
Below is a selection of current talks offered by Jennifer. If you are interested in a different topic, she is happy to consider special requests whenever possible.Â
I Am Because He Is
Too often, we view ourselves through our own eyes with all of our faults, mistakes, and flaws. But God sees our potential for who we can be as His vessels, fully submitted to His plans. When we walk in that truth and see ourselves through His eyes, we become confident, brave, and purposeful in how we live.Â
Recommended for a retreat or multi-session event in order to fully cover the material in two or three sessions of 45 minutes each; can be condensed into one hour-long session, if necessary.
Adulting, Agape Love, and Acting in Faith
Adulting is tough. The process of maturing is painful. But when we recognize God’s sovereign hand at work in a situation, we can lean into His agape love knowing that He works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). This message is based on the lives of Mary, Martha, and Lazarus (Luke 10; John 11-12), and it will encourage you to persevere through challenging seasons and respond in faith.Â

Armor Up!

When you become a believer, you are automatically “drafted” into the army of God and simultaneously, you become a target of God’s adversary, Satan. In order to stand victorious in Jesus, you must follow His battle plan which includes wearing the armor of God (Ephesians 6). This overview message provides an excellent introduction to the Engage Bible Study which goes in depth on each of the pieces of armor.Â
Recommended for a single 60-minute session or two sessions of 30 minutes each.

Winter: A Season of Hope
Everyone experiences “winter seasons” — painful times of waiting and wondering, when everything feels dreary, dark, and even depressing. But regardless of circumstances and feelings, the truth is that God is still at work, even in the middle of “winter." Based on the moving story of Hannah (1 Samuel 1), this message will inspire you to persevere through prolonged seasons of waiting and grow deeper your faith.Â
Recommended for a single 60-minute session or two sessions of 30 minutes each.
When Faith Looks Foolish
Sometimes God asks us to do things by faith, trusting that His will is best even if we don’t understand. The story of Elijah and the widow at Zarephath (1 Kings 17) explores multiple opportunities that both individuals had to express their faith in God through their actions. Their examples will embolden you to act by faith in your life as well!
Recommended for a single 45–60-minute session.
Seen, Summoned, and Set Free
Based on the story of Jesus’ interaction with the crippled woman at the synagogue (Luke 13), this message encourages women that however long they have suffered, they are seen by God and He is at work in and through them for His glory. Â
Recommended for a single 45–60-minute session.
Thirsty
Based on the story of Jesus’ interaction with the Samaritan woman at the well (John 4), this message reveals how Jesus confronted her with the truth in love. The result was that the Samaritan woman became Jesus’ improbable vessel for proclaiming Him and inviting her town to come and see. Whatever sin or shame burdens you, it’s never too late to be transformed and to be used by God for His glory.
Recommended for a single 45–60-minute session.
Derailments, Detours, and the Sovereign Hand of God
Life can go ’off the rails’ quickly and without warning, often leaving us to ask God, “why?” Is He not good? Is He not sovereign? Why does He allow evil to flourish and suffering to linger? This talk addresses some heavy, but important, real-life topics and ends with a greater understanding of His agape love and sovereign plan.Â
Recommended for a single 45–60-minute session.
Raising an Army of Rahabs
Women can be an immovable force when trained to stand strong by faith in the power of Almighty God. This session applies lessons from the remarkable life of Rahab that will help you cultivate the same bravery and steadfastness in your women’s ministry.
Recommended for a single 45–60-minute session.
The Spirituality of Time Management
Do you find yourself being spread too thin? Do you wish that you had a few more hours each day? You don’t need more time — you need a shift in your perspective and priorities. This message will help you to look at time with a different perspective and challenge you to re-evaluate how you spend it.Â
Recommended for a single 45-minute session.
10 Truths about the Love of God
We all have an innate longing to be loved, a desire deeply planted in our hearts by our Creator whose essence is love. Unfortunately, our secular culture has redefined and twisted the meaning of love, often for selfish purposes. This message focuses on ten points about love as revealed in the Bible, and it challenges the audience to accept God’s agape love even in the midst of suffering.Â
Recommended for a single 30–45-minute session.
